Sen. Mitch McConnell,<\/u><\/a> R-Ky., said Thursday he has been discharged from a rehabilitation facility after a fall at his Kentucky home in mid-June that left him hospitalized.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Earlier today, I was discharged from the rehabilitation center to continue my recovery at home. Elaine and I are grateful for the many well wishes and support from friends, colleagues, and Kentuckians, and for the attentive care I\u2019ve received from excellent doctors, nurses, therapists, and hospital staff,” he said, referring to his wife, Elaine Chao.\u00a0<\/p>\n

McConnell said he will remain at home during the Senate’s upcoming state work period as he continues his recovery.<\/p>\n

“On the advice of my doctors, I\u2019ll maintain an intensive regimen of physical therapy from home during the state work period, and I\u2019ll continue to engage with my staff and colleagues on important Senate business,” he said.<\/p>\n
