Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer<\/a> on Wednesday expressed her support for state Democratic U.S. Senate primary winner Abdul El-Sayed after backing his opponent, U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens, in the contest.<\/p>\n

“Congratulations to Jocelyn Benson, Abdul El-Sayed, and every Democrat who won up and down the ballot in this primary. They\u2019ve got my support as we fight like hell together to win in November,” Whitmer wrote in a post<\/a> on X.<\/p>\n

“Together, let\u2019s stop MAGA Republicans so we can get to work and deliver results for the people of Michigan<\/a>,” she added.<\/p>\n
