Saturday was a bittersweet day for fans of “The Sopranos.”<\/p>\n

Fans of the legendary TV series were excited to see one of the show’s stars belting out the National Anthem at a New York Mets<\/a> game.<\/p>\n

But, eerily, it happened on the same day that one of the series’ most recognizable stars passed away<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, the Mets hosted the Miami Marlins at Citi Field, and before the game, they welcomed Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who played Meadow Soprano on the series, to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner.”<\/p>\n

That was a solid rendition, and fans were excited to see Sigler out on the field handling anthem duties.<\/p>\n

However, there was a bit of an eerie coincidence that fans started to notice as the day went on.<\/p>\n

Also on Saturday, it was announced that actor Vincent Pastore<\/a>, who played Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero, had passed away at the age of 80.<\/p>\n

Fans certainly took notice of how the two things coincided.<\/p>\n

Again, a total coincidence… but let’s be honest about it, that’s kind of odd.<\/p>\n

It’s not every day that a cast member from the show sings the anthem at a Major League Baseball game, so for it to happen and start making the rounds on social media on the same day that we learned that a beloved actor from the show had died?<\/p>\n

Yeah, that’s really wild.<\/p>\n

But it also goes to show what an impact “The Sopranos” has had, considering it came to an end in 2007.<\/p>\n

Which is just under 20 years ago.<\/p>\n
