When couples take wedding pictures, they usually want to get as many as they can of just the two of them.<\/p>\n

But, on the off chance an NHL legend<\/a> happens to come wandering through the frame, well, you might as well get that photographer you’re paying by the hour to start snapping.<\/p>\n

That’s what one couple in Russia did when none other than the NHL’s all-time leading goal-scorer, Alex Ovechkin<\/a>, happened to stumble upon their photo sesh.<\/p>\n

The Great 8 was in his native Russia this offseason, and there, he took part in a charity game called the Match of the Year that included a bunch of familiar names from the NHL and KHL.<\/p>\n

In fact, this year, Philadelphia Flyers forward Matvei Michkov<\/a> scored a slick Michigan move goal that made the rounds on social media.<\/p>\n

Anyway, while he was in Saint Petersburg for this match, Ovechkin found himself strolling down a hotel staircase, where a nice couple just so happened to be getting some photos taken to commemorate their big day.<\/p>\n

Easily the best part of that video is when you see the blade of the hockey stick come into frame and you know what’s about to happen. It’s like when Kramer would come sliding through the door and into Jerry’s apartment.<\/p>\n

Also, the fact that he was just wandering around with a CCM twig in his hands is just perfect in general.<\/p>\n

That’s how you become an elite goal-scorer, kids: cart the lumber with you just about everywhere.<\/p>\n

Ovechkin will be headed back to the States in a little over a month for the Capitals’ training camp.<\/p>\n

He spent last season on what some thought might be his final year in the NHL, but signed a one-year deal<\/a> with the Capitals earlier this month.<\/p>\n

While the Capitals<\/a> missed the playoffs last season, they brought in some key pieces over the summer, including former Buffalo Sabres forward Alex Tuch, former St. Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou, and former Blue Jackets captain Boone Jenner.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
