Top executives at Caterpillar Inc believe that substantive issues that threaten to derail any meaningful trade between US and China can be settled amicably. The major areas of conflict between the two nations are protection of intellectual property and currency valuations. If the political will in both countries exist, then these differences can be ironed out to benefit CAT more.<\/p>\n
As a demonstration of its readiness to continue investing in China, Caterpillar Inc currently employs more than 7,700 workers in the country. Not only that, but also it has put up 11 manufacturing facilities across China, where its thousands of employees currently work. CAT has also chosen to establish 3 research and development centers in China, in addition to 9 offices. Caterpillar Inc has also opted to 2 centers that are purely focused on logistics and parts. There is little doubt that CAT has done this because it intends to show that it is in China to stay.<\/p>\n
