Former President Joe Biden<\/a> and his son Hunter Biden<\/a> surprised Barstool Sports personality “Jersey Jerry” on Friday in a recorded video, presenting him with the “Lib of the Year” award after he won the title for a third consecutive year during the annual “Pardon My Take” Takie Awards episode.<\/p>\n

Jerry appeared stunned after Hunter Biden’s video panned to include the former president.<\/p>\n

“What the f—? I was not expecting that,” Jerry said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hunter Biden opened the video by referring to their experience with recovery before congratulating Jerry on his third consecutive victory.<\/p>\n

“Hey, Jerry, from one brother in recovery to another, congratulations on the Lib of the Year award. I know you didn\u2019t have much competition, but I\u2019m still proud of you,” Hunter Biden said as the former president appeared beside his son.<\/p>\n

“We were both proud of you. Hey, Jerry, congratulations. Keep the faith, Jerry. Congratulations, dude,” Joe Biden said.<\/p>\n

Jerry struggled to process the cameo as the hosts emphasized that a former president had participated in the comedy sports show’s award presentation.<\/p>\n

“Serious? What are we doing?” Jerry said. The hosts replayed the video at Jerry\u2019s request.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s starting to hit me now. Let it hit me for a second,” Jerry said.<\/p>\n

Jerry jokingly thanked the former president using one of President Donald Trump’s<\/a> longtime nicknames for Joe Biden.<\/p>\n

“All right, Sleepy Joe. Thank you, brother,” Jerry said.<\/p>\n

“Pardon My Take” co-host Dan “Big Cat” Katz put the presentation in presidential context.<\/p>\n

“Forty-five men have served in 47 presidencies. You have one of 45 men who served as president of the United States of America giving you a Takey for Lib of the Year. Just let that set in for a second. That\u2019s history,” Katz said.<\/p>\n

Jerry agreed with Katz.<\/p>\n

“That is history right there. It\u2019s incredible,” he said. “The president knows who I am.”<\/p>\n

The Biden cameo drew reactions online. Barstool founder Dave Portnoy<\/a> claimed to be shocked and offered a brief response.<\/p>\n

“I gasped,” Portnoy said.<\/p>\n

Katz celebrated Jerry\u2019s repeated wins.<\/p>\n

“Jersey Jerry is going on a dynastic run for Lib of the Year,” Katz said.<\/p>\n

Barstool media and culture personality “Jack Mac” said the second Biden’s appearance also caught him off guard.<\/p>\n

“I gasped when the second special guest popped on screen,” Jack Mac said.<\/p>\n

Former NFL offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz also reacted to the ending, celebrating the parody.<\/p>\n

“This is great. Did not expect the end of the video,” Schwartz said.<\/p>\n

The two-hour, 48-minute episode featured more than 28 awards, including “Take of the Year” and “Blake of the Year.” The Takies are the podcast\u2019s annual parody awards.<\/p>\n

The segment followed a similar presentation in 2025<\/a>, where former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg<\/a> awarded Jerry his second straight title and encouraged him to achieve a three-peat. Buttigieg praised Jerry for his “evolving perspective on immigration” and being “open to the idea that vaccines actually work.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
