Family has identified the young woman found fatally shot Saturday inside a Boston home<\/a> owned by the husband of Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass.<\/p>\n

While police have not officially identified the victim, her family identified her as 18-year-old Yoseliani Marte in a GoFundMe campaign created by her mother.<\/p>\n

In the fundraiser, Marte’s mother said her daughter was killed as a “result of domestic violence.”<\/p>\n

Police responded<\/a> to a residence in Boston’s Mattapan neighborhood around 1:52 p.m. Saturday, where they found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound, according to police reports obtained by Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n

According to public records, the home is owned by Conan Harris, who has been married to Pressley since 2014.<\/p>\n

Pressley and Harris do not live at the two-family residence, which has been reported as a rental property, according<\/a> to the Boston Herald.<\/p>\n

The home is currently listed for sale for $1.15 million.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Pressley’s office told Boston 25 News that neither the congresswoman nor her family were involved in the incident and that Pressley extends her deepest condolences to the family and loved ones impacted by the tragedy.<\/p>\n

A neighbor said the usually calm neighborhood was shaken by the large police response Saturday.<\/p>\n

“We got home and there were police coming down the street, they blocked off with crime tape<\/a> over there and neighbors gathered around,” a neighbor said, according to Boston 25 News.<\/p>\n

“I mean it\u2019s sad, it\u2019s really sad because you know this neighborhood is a wonderful place to be.”<\/p>\n

Family and friends reportedly held a vigil for the victim Sunday night.<\/p>\n

The manner of death remains under investigation<\/a>, Boston police said.<\/p>\n
