Former President Joe Biden\u2019s announcement of a forthcoming memoir drew<\/a> swift mockery from conservatives Wednesday, with critics reviving questions about his health, age and use of an autopen during his presidency.<\/p>\n

“This guy couldn’t even sign his own name. He’s not writing books. LMAO,” wrote former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt on X.<\/p>\n

“Politicians write books to launder money. Nobody wants to read this, but the corrupt NGOs he provided for as President will buy up 100K copies and burn ’em to hold up their end of the bribes,\u2019” the former reality TV star added.<\/p>\n

Biden’s memoir, “PROMISE ME, AMERICA,” will chronicle his presidency and reveal the “deeply agonizing calculation” behind his decision to withdraw from the 2024<\/a> presidential race, according to a press release announcing the book. The memoir is set to come out on Nov. 17, about two weeks after the midterms.<\/p>\n

Biden announced the book in a video posted to X Wednesday. He added that he has been receiving treatment for his cancer diagnosis<\/a> and that it has been going “really well.”<\/p>\n

“It’s about the challenges we face as a nation and about the decisions I made and why I made them, leading the country through co rebuilding our economy and restoring our democracy after the attack on January 6th, ending our nation’s longest war in Afghanistan, strengthening NATO and supporting Ukraine,” Biden said.<\/p>\n

Social media users swiftly mocked Biden\u2019s announcement.<\/p>\n

“The first lie of Joe Biden\u2019s book launch: \u2018I\u2019ve written a book,\u2019” wrote conservative communicator Steve Guest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Could you imagine if this guy was halfway through his second term. it\u2019s still insane to me that so many people lied about this man\u2019s health to hold onto power,” wrote The Brand Brief\u2019s Nathan Brand<\/a> on X.<\/p>\n

“Who do we think wrote this book,” questioned Daily Wire editor-in-chief Brent Scher.<\/a><\/p>\n

“Did the autopen write this too,” Missouri Republican Rep. Jason Smith questioned<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Auto pen,” Republican candidate for Congress in Florida Mark Kaye wrote simply.<\/a><\/p>\n

Many X users responded to the video announcement with the photo in the Presidential Walk of Fame that shows an image of an autopen marking Biden\u2019s name.<\/p>\n

President Donald Trump replaced<\/a> Biden\u2019s portrait with the device previously used by the commander in chief to sign important orders<\/a>, including pardons.<\/p>\n

Trump has railed against Biden\u2019s use of the autopen, claiming the former president didn\u2019t know what documents he was signing and that thousands of pardons were void. Trump and other Republicans have questioned Biden\u2019s mental acuity while in office.<\/p>\n
