Media pundits and commentators across the political aisle posted blunt reactions online Sunday to the sudden death of Sen. Lindsey Graham<\/a>, R-S.C., hours after his office announced that the 71-year-old lawmaker died Saturday evening following a “brief and sudden illness.”<\/p>\n

“The Young Turks” co-host and executive producer Ana Kasparian responded<\/a> to the announcement on X with two words.<\/p>\n

“Good riddance,” Kasparian said.<\/p>\n

Far-right political commentator Nick Fuentes also posted<\/a> the same response online.<\/p>\n

“Good riddance,” Fuentes said.<\/p>\n

Co-creator of “The Young Turks,” Cenk Uygur, took to social media to mock<\/a> Graham\u2019s record by imagining the senator carrying his arguments into the afterlife.<\/p>\n

“Lindsey Graham has moved on to the next step in his journey, trying to convince Hades to attack Zeus and Poseidon,” Uygur said. “He says it\u2019ll only take a couple of weeks and won\u2019t require any ground troops. And there\u2019s no way Poseidon can close the Strait.”<\/p>\n

Former MSNBC analyst and Lincoln Project co-founder Steve Schmidt called Graham a “lonely and unprincipled man who betrayed his country for power and his decency for attention” in a Substack post<\/a> on Sunday, following the senator’s death.<\/p>\n

Left-wing streamer, Hasan Piker mocked a tribute honoring Graham’s relationship with Israel, by commenting<\/a>, “lmao.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

Graham also received praise for his efforts as a senator, from President Donald Trump<\/a> and others, including colleagues in South Carolina.<\/p>\n

Trump wrote on Truth Social<\/a> that Graham “was always working,” and called the Palmetto State senator “a true American Patriot.”<\/p>\n

“Lindsey will be greatly missed!!!” Trump wrote. “So sad!”<\/p>\n

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir mourned<\/a> Graham as one of Israel\u2019s strongest allies and praised the senator\u2019s commitment to the country\u2019s security.<\/p>\n

Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., remembered<\/a> Graham as a friend who placed his state first.<\/p>\n

“South Carolina lost a statesman and I\u2019ve lost a friend,” Scott said. “From his humble beginnings to the Senate floor, Lindsey always led with faith, family, and South Carolina first. Lindsey remained committed to public service and doing what he loved.”<\/p>\n

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., honored<\/a> Graham\u2019s decades of military and congressional service while acknowledging that the two South Carolina Republicans<\/a> did not always agree.<\/p>\n

“We did not always agree, but no one ever questioned his love for South Carolina or the fight he brought to every room he walked into,” Mace said. “Please join me in praying for his family and for all who called him a friend. Rest easy, Senator.”<\/p>\n

Graham had represented South Carolina<\/a> in the Senate since 2003 after serving four terms in the House. The former Air Force lawyer retired as a colonel after 33 years of military service and became a prominent advocate for a muscular U.S. foreign policy. He had returned from Ukraine<\/a> before his death and was running for a fifth Senate term.<\/p>\n

Lindsey Graham’s office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital<\/a>‘s request for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
