Persephone has been a rising talent in pro wrestling<\/a> over the two years as she\u2019s become the reigning Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) world women\u2019s champion as well as the Universal Amazons champion and the winner of the 2025 Grand Prix de Amazonas.<\/p>\n

Persephone\u2019s talent has exceeded the ropes of a CMLL ring.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s been utilized on All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Maple Leaf Wrestling and Ring of Honor just to name a few promotions. She\u2019s also made an impression on AEW star Thunder Rosa.<\/p>\n

Rosa told Fox News Digital<\/a> she believed Persephone has broken out.<\/p>\n

“I think she’s one of those talents that \u2013 she bet on herself a long time ago. She was a luchadora. She had a mask. She lost her mask and she’s been working very, very hard to make that opportunity for herself,” Rosa said. “And I think that she has found her time. And it’s been this year, I think she’s been the breakout star of the year I will say. I think when she started coming last year and doing some of the shows, people started seeing how talented she was.”<\/p>\n

Rosa said she\u2019s seen Persephone\u2019s growth as a wrestler firsthand and has the ability to make fans cheer for her even though she\u2019s presented as a heel.<\/p>\n

“I mean, I’ve seen her grow since 2020 in the independent scene and now when I go to Mexico City and they love her regardless if she’s a heel or not, they like love her over there,” Rosa added. “And now, how she’s been able to transition into American style, it’s also very interesting to see because when you see this transition, me going into Mexico and trying to transition into Lucha Libre and her, although she was born here, in America and she’s binational, having the fact that she has to transition into American style of wrestling is always very, very good to see.<\/p>\n

“But she’s very smart and she knows what she’s doing. So, I’m really proud of her.”<\/p>\n

Persephone recently showcased her pro wrestling prowess in AEW\u2019s Survival of the Fittest<\/a> match for the TBS Championship. Tessa Blanchard also challenged her for the CMLL Women\u2019s Championship, which she accepted this week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
