Nate Smith is a new man thanks to his weight loss journey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The country music star<\/a> admitted he used to feel out of breath performing simple tasks, but losing more than 70 pounds has given him his life back.<\/p>\n

While attending the Sports Illustrated and Tight End University’s Tight Ends & Friends Concert at The Pinnacle in Nashville<\/a> last month, the “Bulletproof” singer told People magazine<\/a> he has a new goal in mind.<\/p>\n

“I think I want to get under 200 lbs.,” Smith said. “So I was like 275 lbs., somewhere in that world. But I want to get down to like 185 lbs. again.”<\/p>\n

When asked what motivates the “Whiskey on You” singer to pursue a healthier lifestyle<\/a>, Smith said he wanted to be able to perform at his best for his fans.<\/p>\n

“Keeping the energy on stage and making sure I do that, because I think that takes care of the fans,” Smith noted before adding, “I just feel better. It’s nice to be able to wear clothes that I like.”<\/p>\n

While referring to his red carpet attire, Smith said, “This is a large. I’ve been double X for the last five or six years, so I’m feeling really good.”<\/p>\n

The “World on Fire” musician boasted about the endless positive benefits from his change.<\/p>\n

“I don’t sweat anymore, which is amazing,” Smith said. “I used to be totally out of breath tying my shoes.”<\/p>\n

He added, “I can jump around a lot more.”<\/p>\n

Following a medical scare in 2024, Smith began addressing health issues<\/a> including overeating and drinking too much. Within a few months, the singer was already down nearly 50lbs. from simply reducing his daily caloric intake.<\/p>\n

“I still struggle with some binge eating,” Smith also told the outlet at the time. “And if I want to have it, I’m going to have it.<\/p>\n

“But I want to find a way to make it a treat versus a lifestyle thing. If I decide I’m going to have mac and cheese, it’s okay.”<\/p>\n

He added, “I’m not even close to my goal. But I’m way happier where I’m at, and I feel like better about the way I look.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
