Sam Elliott was a little bit hesitant at first to join the “Yellowstone” universe.<\/a><\/p>\n

The world created by Taylor Sheridan<\/a> has become a global entertainment phenomenon following the airing of the original neo-Western saga.<\/p>\n

There have been prequel series and multiple spinoffs. Elliott was a star of the prequel series “1883,” and Sheridan is pulling back the curtain on how it all went down.<\/p>\n

Sheridan spoke with Howard Stern on Tuesday, and revealed it took a little convincing for Elliott to join the “Yellowstone” world.<\/p>\n

He didn’t like the series led by Kevin Costner<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I think I speak for fans everywhere when I say that it’s a good thing Elliott agreed to join “1883.” He was arguably the best part of the gritty Western series.<\/p>\n

His work has also continued with Sheridan since the hit “Yellowstone” prequel. The legendary actor also plays a major role in Sheridan’s oil drama “Landman.”<\/p>\n

Again, he’s one of the best parts of the series.<\/p>\n
