Conservatives rallied around Justice Clarence Thomas on Tuesday as he wrote about the U.S. Supreme Court ruling<\/a> that upheld state laws barring biological men from women\u2019s sports.<\/p>\n

Thomas followed the high court’s ruling to uphold state laws preventing transgender athletes from participating in women’s sports<\/a> with a concurring opinion, saying, “Men and boys with gender dysphoria are not women or girls, even if they believe that they are. Sex is an immutable \u2018biological\u2019 characteristic, see ante, at 10; it is binary; and \u2018man\u2019 and \u2018woman,\u2019 \u2018boy\u2019 and \u2018girl,\u2019 are the terms that correspond to adults and children of each sex.”<\/p>\n

He added, “To use language to obscure reality to show \u2018indifference regarding the truth\u2019\u2014 is to lie to the public and cease to treat our fellow citizens \u2018as equal[s].\u2019”<\/p>\n

This concurrence was touted by numerous conservative public figures as they celebrated the ruling.<\/p>\n

“Right into my veins!” Evolutionary biologist Colin Wright joked.<\/p>\n

Conservative influencer Allie Beth Stuckey touted the ruling as “a win for reality.”<\/p>\n

“This is fire,” Texas state Rep. Jeff Leach wrote with a flame emoji, going on to suggest, “Put it in the louvre.”<\/p>\n

Breitbart News reporter Elizabeth Weibel praised Thomas\u2019 words as a “TRUTH BOMB.”<\/p>\n

The opponents of the ruling slammed the court’s decision.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which represented trans athletes in West Virginia<\/a> and Idaho, expressed “heartbreak” over the justices\u2019 decision.<\/p>\n

“This is a heartbreaking ruling for our clients and transgender girls like them who\u2019ve asked for nothing more than the same opportunities afforded to their peers,” ACLU senior counsel Joshua Block said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n

\u00a0“The reality is that the equality of transgender women and girls takes nothing away from, and in fact promotes, the equality of all women and girls. We will continue to advance the fundamental principle that all young people deserve equal opportunity to thrive and succeed.”<\/p>\n
