NEW YORK \u2014 Pop superstar Taylor Swift\u2019s wedding to three-time Super Bowl winner<\/a> Travis Kelce will be a days-long event involving street closures, hundreds of VIPs, a special police detail and taxpayer-funded security measures, according to an apparent security detail memo reviewed by Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n

The NYPD is preparing to lock down a city block outside Madison Square Garden in the heart of Manhattan<\/a>, the memo, dated June 29, reveals.<\/p>\n

The document details an event spanning multiple days of setup, festivities, and breakdown, with 1,000 guests expected to attend \u2014 all small crowd<\/span> for the venue, and for the star players, but many of them are described as “high profile” and “VIP” by the police department.<\/p>\n

Swift and Kelce have been secretive about the guest list<\/a> itself, and police have been advised to expect large crowds and paparazzi outside, according to the memo.<\/p>\n

New York authorities will shut down West 31st Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues all day on July 3, according to the memo \u2014 less restrictive than the shutdowns for the NBA Finals, which the New York Knicks won earlier this month. Those closures extended for multiple blocks surrounding MSG.<\/p>\n

On the wedding day, guests will arrive at a secure reception tent as the cocktail hour kicks off, so they can enter away from prying eyes.<\/p>\n

Roughly 10 blocks to the north, revelers will be ringing in the United States’ 250th birthday in Times Square, according to the organizers of America 250<\/a> \u2014 with a ball dropping eight times, marking midnight in every time zone where the country has territory.<\/p>\n

The days-long festivities have been sponsored and approved by New York City\u2019s Street Activity Permit Office, which is part of the Mayor\u2019s Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management.<\/p>\n

The NYPD is expected to provide taxpayer-funded security and traffic control.<\/p>\n

In a photo obtained by Fox News Digital Monday<\/span>, a large truck was seen backing into a loading bay<\/a> at the MSG<\/span>, where workers took out large items concealed by black plastic sheets.<\/p>\n

The NYPD did not immediately respond to requests for comment or address the memo’s authenticity.<\/p>\n

The venue falls within the NYPD’s Patrol Borough Manhattan South, whose commanding officer was reassigned last week<\/a> amid an internal affairs corruption probe.<\/p>\n
