Radio host Charlamagne tha God called out former President Barack Obama<\/a> on Thursday after he said President Donald Trump is different face-to-face and suggested the same could be said about Obama.<\/p>\n

“So I just didn’t understand what he meant unless he was talking about the kiki they had at the [Jimmy] Carter funeral. But to me, that goes both ways. You kikiing in his face too, ’cause by the way, Trump has been saying wild stuff about you, bro, been saying wild stuff about you and your wife, but you was just right there kikiing with him at the President Carter funeral. So I can say it goes both ways. Don’t neither one of y’all be having that energy in each other’s face. At least from what we saw,” the radio host said.<\/p>\n

Kikiing is an informal slang term<\/a> for relaxing or gossiping.<\/p>\n

Charlamagne referred to Obama and Trump speaking to one another at former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral, at times smiling and laughing with each other. Former first lady Michelle Obama<\/a> did not attend.<\/p>\n

“So when I heard President Obama say that, I’m like, \u2018Well, the same thing can be said for you.\u2019 Don’t none of y’all be having that same image. Like we saw President Biden say, ‘Welcome home to Donald Trump.’ Like, so, it’s just like what are y’all? I didn’t understand that part. Like that just sounds like something slick to say on the podcast,” Charlamagne said.<\/p>\n

Obama was asked on the “All the Smoke<\/a>” podcast with former NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson about how Trump is “still very fascinated” with him and how he responds to the “negativity and the racism” thrown his way. Trump frequently criticizes Obama on social media and in his public remarks.<\/p>\n

“You got to ask him what it is that… the obsession,” Obama said. “I obviously have a room in his head, a suite in his head.”<\/p>\n

OBAMA LAUGHS AS HE HINTS COLBERT COULD PERFORM BETTER THAN TRUMP AS PRESIDENT, SAYS ‘BAR HAS CHANGED’<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

During another portion of the podcast, Obama also suggested that Trump was different in private conversation compared to his public persona.<\/p>\n

“I believe in conversation. So if this \u2014 whoever you were talking about \u2014 was in front of me, which has happened a couple times, he don\u2019t talk like that because he knows better,” Obama said.<\/p>\n

Charlamagne said Obama’s remarks were just something that sounded good on a podcast.<\/p>\n

“It sounds good on a podcast, OK? It goes viral. But when you really take a step back and look at it, don’t none of y’all be having that same energy for each other when you see each other. That’s what be confusing us because we be like, ‘Well, damn. I thought this was the big bad boogeyman telling us this guy’s a threat to democracy, which I believe he is, but still,'” he said.<\/p>\n

The radio host called out Obama in March 2025<\/a> after the two were friendly towards each other at Carter’s funeral, accusing the former president of playing “footsie” with Trump.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
