A civil suit filed by Church alleges Hendricks was experiencing an active herpes outbreak at the time and that Church later tested positive for HSV-1 after eating the food.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/video-appears-show-gas-mask-wearing-roommate-allegedly-spraying-poison-couples-food\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>VIDEO APPEARS TO SHOW GAS MASK-WEARING ROOMMATE ALLEGEDLY SPRAYING POISON ON COUPLE&#8217;S FOOD<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Church told KJRH that she stopped at the restaurant after a late bartending shift in March and noticed her order was taking longer than expected.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was taking a little bit of time,&#8221; Church told the station. &#8220;I thought they were mad at me because it was about to close.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/former-north-carolina-elections-official-allegedly-drugged-teens-ice-cream-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>FORMER NORTH CAROLINA ELECTIONS OFFICIAL ALLEGEDLY DRUGGED TEENS&#8217; ICE CREAM: REPORT<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to KJRH, Church said she had a minor history with Hendricks but nothing significant.<\/p>\n<p>On the night of the alleged incident, Church said she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/uber-eats-driver-accused-snacking-customers-food-spitting-her-face-when-confronted-police\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ate one sandwich<\/a> while pulling out of the Arby&#8217;s parking lot and brought the remaining food home, where it was shared with her husband and a relative receiving hospice care.<\/p>\n<p>According to the lawsuit, Church later developed a lesion on her lip and eventually tested positive for HSV-1.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/food-drink\/man-sues-whataburger-after-unwanted-onions-allegedly-caused-allergic-reaction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>MAN SUES WHATABURGER AFTER UNWANTED ONIONS ALLEGEDLY CAUSED ALLERGIC REACTION<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Local police launched an investigation into the incident after receiving information from another Arby&#8217;s employee who alleged a co-worker had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/viral-footage-shows-doordash-driver-allegedly-pepper-spraying-customers-food-order-during-delivery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spat into a customer&#8217;s order<\/a>, according to court records cited by local media.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators obtained surveillance video from the restaurant and concluded it showed Hendricks spitting into food being prepared for Church, according to an affidavit cited by KJRH and KXII. Police say the surveillance appeared to show Hendricks lowering her head toward sandwich ingredients before saliva fell onto the food.<\/p>\n<p>Hendricks was later charged with felony poisoning with intent to injure.
