It&#8217;s an opportunity to showcase what <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/cuisines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cuban cuisine<\/a> can become when creativity is no longer limited by scarcity.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/food-drink\/food-sold-gas-station-explodes-health-focused-restaurant-chain\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>FOOD SOLD AT GAS STATION EXPLODES INTO HEALTH-FOCUSED RESTAURANT CHAIN<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Gonzalez, 36, told Fox News Digital he was &#8220;happy and excited&#8221; to receive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/lifestyle\/explore-michelin-star-criteria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a Michelin star<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Named after Gonzalez&#8217;s grandmother, Emelina offers a modern take on traditional Cuban flavors while honoring the culture&#8217;s roots.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Most of the ingredients are sourced from South Florida to tell a unique story,&#8221; the Michelin Guide description said. &#8220;Poached local oysters with yucca foam and mushroom powder show refinement, while cherry tomatoes with Cuban oregano chimichurri and macadamia milk foam showcase how simple ingredients can shine.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Gonzalez said the restaurant isn&#8217;t trying to replace classic Cuban dishes \u2014 it&#8217;s trying to build upon them.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re not trying to reinvent Cuban food,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We really love our traditions and our classic food. &#8230; We&#8217;re just here to kind of dream a little and take that Cuban food that we love into this journey of creativity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/food-drink\/miami-restaurant-versailles-shares-cuban-sandwich-recipe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>MIAMI&#8217;S FAMED RESTAURANT VERSAILLES SHARES &#8216;DELICIOUS&#8217; CUBAN SANDWICH RECIPE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That vision is deeply personal.
