Owing to these challenges, the operating system has caused Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) huge loss of revenue. This is despite the company coming up with an upgrade to the OS called Windows 8.1.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Cure Windows 8 problems<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It seems that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is keen on disassociating itself with the number 8 by launching a new number for a new version of Windows. The company released Windows 8.1 in early 2013 in efforts to cure Windows 8 problems; however, nothing good has been achieved even with this upgrade, making the whole project a disappointment for the company.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Weak PC market<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is still struggling to squeeze the remaining juice in the declining PC market. The company needs cutting-edge software to survive in this segment even as it is looking to other options to shore up its revenue. The slowdown in PC market and the ill reception of Windows 8 have particularly led to significant loss of revenue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Fixing revenue problem<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has many opportunities to boost its revenue. The company\u2019s dominance in the PC market means that it can still earn significant revenue. All that is needed is offering customers what they want.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The overwhelming positive reception of Xbox One also indicates potential for sustainable revenue for the company in gaming console market. The company\u2019s entry into tablets and now smartphone business through acquisition of Nokia (NOK) also has the potential of boosting revenue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Bottom line<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is in much better position that most of its peers to realize revenue growth.
