Former Secretary of State\u00a0Hillary Clinton<\/a> avoided directly answering whether she supported Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner when asked on Monday.<\/p>\n

“I feel about him the way I feel about any candidate,” Clinton said at 92NY<\/a>. “I want to see what kind of candidate he actually turns out to be.”<\/p>\n

During her answer, she also appeared to downplay Platner’s ongoing scandals as “bumps on the road” for his character.<\/p>\n

“The bumps on the road that he has experienced and some of the things he has said…” Clinton said.<\/p>\n

“Bumps on the road?” The New Yorker editor David Remnick asked skeptically.<\/p>\n

“Yeah, clearly bumps on the road in terms of his prior behavior, some of his prior statements. And I will tell you, I served with [Maine Sen.] Susan Collins, she is going to be very hard to beat. It’s going to be a tough election. So I’m reserving,” Clinton said.<\/p>\n

“But if you were a Mainer, where would you pull the lever?” Remnick asked.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m not a Mainer. I\u2019m a New Yorker,” Clinton joked.<\/p>\n

Clinton then shifted to discussing the importance of the Democratic Party regaining control of the House of Representatives in 2026.<\/p>\n

Fox News Digital<\/a> reached out to Platner’s campaign for comment.<\/p>\n

‘THE VIEW’ ERUPTS AFTER HOSTIN DECLARES ‘I WOULD HOLD MY NOSE’ AND VOTE FOR SCANDAL-PLAGUED GRAHAM PLATNER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Platner has been rocked by several controversies<\/a> since his campaign began, ranging from sexually explicit messages to other women and offensive social media posts to a Nazi-linked tattoo and campaign staff upheaval.<\/p>\n

The controversies reached a new level after a New York Times report earlier this month described new allegations of violent episodes<\/a> and questionable behavior with ex-girlfriends.<\/p>\n

Despite his ongoing scandals, several Democratic politicians have chosen to stand and defend Platner’s campaign<\/a>, while many have declined to disavow him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
