Tarek and Heather El Moussa<\/a> felt “violated” after a suspect broke into their Southern California home while they were away on vacation.<\/p>\n

The reality stars’ Newport Beach home was broken into earlier this week as the couple vacationed with their family in Mexico<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Authorities responded to reports of a residential burglary near the Mariners Community after 6 p.m. on June 8, officials confirmed to Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n

“While the victim was away, unknown suspects accessed the backyard of the property and shattered a rear sliding glass door to get into the house,” officials told Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n

“Inside the residence, the suspects ransacked the primary bedroom closet before fleeing through the backyard, along the side of the house and out the front yard.”<\/p>\n

The house-flipping specialists reported jewelry stolen from the residence.<\/p>\n

Officers believe the home invasion<\/a> occurred between the earlier hours of June 6 and into June 8. The Newport Beach Police Department does not currently have a suspect identified in the case.<\/p>\n

Representatives for Tarek and Heather didn’t immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.<\/p>\n

The couple responded to the incident on social media Tuesday.<\/p>\n

“Disgusted by some of the cruel heartless people in this world,” Heather wrote on Instagram stories while tagging her husband.<\/p>\n

“Tarek and I feel violated and to be honest really sad. Taking a break for a few days and will back to explain soon.”<\/p>\n

She added, “We are safe & the kids are safe.”<\/p>\n

The couple welcomed son Tristan in January 2023. Tarek was previously married to fellow HGTV star Christina Haack<\/u><\/a> for seven years before their divorce was finalized in 2018.<\/p>\n

They co-parent two children \u2014 daughter Taylor and son Brayden \u2014 and starred together after their divorce in HGTV\u2019s “The Flip Off.”\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
