But the company is in competition with tech powerhouse Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) for the control enterprise cloud business.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)\u00a0is more into database cloud solution with presence in compute and storage. The rival Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) is more into cloud compute solution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The three popular cloud services are database, compute and storage. These three platforms account for about 80 percent of monthly cloud bills on average customer. It is this opportunity that has turned competition for the control of these strategic cloud platforms red-hot.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cloud vendors such as Amazon.Com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN), Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) and Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT) are investing big in this business to boost their dominance in their respective lines in 2014.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Among these big players, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) is in the lead in terms of most-used cloud service. It is followed in second place by Amazon.Com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) with its Amazon Web Services (AWS) and then Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ:MSFT) comes third with its Azure service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Distinction<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Amazon.Com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is trying to carve a niche in database cloud service. This distinction is expected to help the company gain quick market recognition. In so doing, it hopes to start benefit from its cloud service vending business. The challenge to Amazon.Com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is it\u2019s closed approach to cloud service provision. The company favors strictly private cloud at a time when rivals are offering hybrid services.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While at the moment distinction can also be drawn among the three players in regards to their platform of offering, there are chances that they could start offering full-cloud package to their enterprise customers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yet another line of distinction that will set the players apart at the moment is cost of the service. Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) has been particularly notorious with price-cuts. Amazon.Com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is also trying to evoke pricing strategy to win the market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Conclusion<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It remains to be seen who between Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) and Amazon.Com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) will have the last laugh up in the cloud.
