(NYSE:PFE)\u2019s general counsel and a deputy to Mr. Ian Read- the Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Amy Schulman was named as the head of one of the three \u00a0new drug units of the company that are going to be started by next month. However, Ms. Schulman will leave the company. In July, she was chosen to head one of the businesses, but now, she will be replaced by a 20-year Pfizer veteran, Mr. Albert Bourla. The company said in a statement recently that Bourla will now head the unit that handles consumer health products, oncology and\u00a0vaccines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Reaction of the company<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE)<b> <\/b>said in a statement issued recently, \u00a0that Amy Schulman has decided to part ways with Pfizer. The company has not informed, whether she is leaving the company for any other job nor it \u00a0gave any reason for her departure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Journey of Schulman<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the year 2008, Ms. Schulman joined Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE)<b> <\/b>as general counsel. In 2010, she was named as the head of nutrition unit of the company. \u00a0At that point of time, the unit had sales of $1.87 billion.\u00a0She headed the\u00a0consumer business with a turnover of $3.12 billion per annum, when the unit was sold. Finally, she was named as the head of newly created drug unit which will not be led by her now. The company provided an e-mailed statement in which she said that she had enjoyed her time at the company and made well wishes for her friends, colleagues and the company.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Changes in company\u2019s operations<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE)<b> <\/b>has been divided into one off-patent and two brand-drug business and is set for January 1, 2014. This is an outcome of the fact that the company has decided to halt its non-medicine operations. The biggest drug maker of the world said that it is planning to concentrate on a smaller group of research areas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pfizer Inc.
