Boston, MA 12\/16\/2013 (wallstreetpr) –\u00a0Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) has on the anvil an exciting new deal, which could pitch into the realms of TV for the Web.<\/p>\n
Intel had earlier aborted its mission, even before it had started-off the services. However, its collateral have always been attractive as the set-top driven, software based service could also be connected via DVR technology riding on cloud computing.<\/p>\n
For Verizon, if the deal were to be concluded, it would allow access into an area which FiOS has so far dominated and continues to expand. As a paid-service which Verizon can soon maximize.<\/p>\n
However, as this deal too is in various stages of discussion, it will take some time before the final financial structure shall be announced. In the meanwhile, another excellent deal, which Sprint was expected to strike with\u00a0Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) for sale of lower-spectrums in lieu of some cash transactions and greater penetration for Verizon to implement 4G network, appears to be cold storage now.<\/p>\n
Reason: T-Mobile the fourth player in the competitive carrier network is expected to beat expectations by merging with Sprint. Apparently, Sprint is serious discussions regarding the proposal by T-Mobile.<\/p>\n
For Sprint a deal with Verizon would have partially solved a technical challenge which has impaired its growth thus far- lack of spectrum to operate rural connectivity.<\/p>\n
Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ)\u00a0has been exploring various levels to break the monopoly AT&T has established with its strong technology-based services. Therefore, the last mile reach for most of its services has been successful as opposed to the other three services.<\/p>\n
Following the recent FCC-backed move to unlock phones, Verizon is likely to re-strategize its offers to keep in tune with the competition. The understanding has been forged with all of the U.S.-based carriers: Sprint, AT&T, Sprint as well as T-Mobile.
