Ricky Saints made an electric WWE debut<\/a> in February 2025 when he appeared in the crowd at NXT and declared the brand needed the “superstar of the future.”<\/p>\n

Saints quickly made an impact on NXT. He won the NXT North American Championship nearly three months after his debut and defended the title successfully against Ethan Page at his first Stand & Deliver premium live event \u2013 the biggest show of the year for the brand.<\/p>\n

Nearly a year later, Saints made clear in a recent interview with Fox News Digital that he wants to continue to rack up the accolades while in NXT. He is eyeing a chance at becoming a two-time NXT champion at this year\u2019s Stand & Deliver, which would put him in the same breath with other former stars who came through the brand, including Oba Femi, Trick Williams, Tommaso Ciampa, Karrion Kross, Finn Balor, Shinsuke Nakamura and Samoa Joe.<\/p>\n

“I am focused on becoming a two-time NXT champion, that\u2019s for sure,” he said. “That\u2019s a small list of people that have done that and I wanna put my name on that list. I\u2019ve done a lot in a year. I wanna keep that going. I wanna add another thing to that list. I wanna add, like, \u2018Yeah, Ricky was here for a year and he was a two-time NXT champion, he was a former North American champion,\u2019 like, \u2018He did it. He opened Stand & Deliver on his first Stand & Deliver and now he\u2019s going to close Stand & Deliver.\u2019 You can\u2019t get any better than that.”<\/p>\n

Saints\u2019 relationship with Page has gone back even before the two were in WWE together.<\/p>\n

They either have been aligned with each other or squaring off against one another. The two haven\u2019t been on the same page for a few months.<\/p>\n

“He\u2019s not a bad guy, but the plan hasn\u2019t been going to what we have agreed to,” Saints told Fox News Digital. “So, I need to look out for myself to make sure I get the NXT Championship back again. So, if he can\u2019t fall in line, then it is what it\u2019s gonna have to be.”<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Saints and Page along with Tony D\u2019Angelo will compete<\/a> in a fatal four-way match for Joe Hendry\u2019s NXT Championship. It will be one of the more highly anticipated matches on the card.<\/p>\n

NXT Stand & Deliver will take place in St. Louis, Missouri<\/a>, at 7 p.m. ET. It can be seen on YouTube.<\/p>\n
