Jase Robertson thinks “rednecks” are the only group of people left who can’t be offended.<\/p>\n

Robertson explained on the “Unashamed with the Robertson Family” podcast <\/a>that he “wrongfully asked” his brother, Willie Robertson, if any “Eskimos” had been at an event he attended in Alaska, and Willie told him, “\u2018That’s an offensive word to them.\u2019 I was like, \u2018Well, I didn’t get the memo on that.\u2019 They’re called natives<\/i>.”<\/p>\n

Relative Zach Dasher asked Jase if he would be offended if someone called him a “redneck,” to which he replied, “No. We’re the only people left on the planet that are unoffendable \u2014 the rednecks \u2014 \u2018cause they make fun of us and I don’t care.”<\/p>\n

Jase\u2019s brother, Al Robertson, chimed in, saying, “Well, we make fun of ourselves. I say that all the time.”<\/p>\n

Jase added that he believes “if you’re right with the Lord, I think you’re unoffendable. \u2018Cause he basically said, \u2018You’re going to be offended or people are going to try to offend you just for following me.\u2019”<\/p>\n

Al reminded them that their father, Phil Robertso<\/a>n, had written a book about being “uncancelable,” referring to his book “Uncanceled.”<\/p>\n

The theme of the book, he recalled, was “You can\u2019t be canceled because, once your sins have been canceled at the cross \u2026 then who cares who tries to cancel you after that? It makes no difference. Which I thought was a strong \u2014 that’s a strong point.”<\/p>\n

Phil reflected on cancel culture in 2022 while talking about his book and his 2013 “Duck Dynasty”<\/a> suspension after he made remarks about gay people in a GQ interview.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“The ones who attacked me, I didn\u2019t hold it against them,” Phil, who died last year, told Fox News Digital<\/a> at the time. “They asked me a question about a particular sin, homosexual behavior. And they asked if I believed it was a sin. I thought to myself, that\u2019s a weird question to ask someone, but I just quoted a Bible verse \u2026 I quoted what God had to say about that sin and nine other sins, but it was in the list of sins\u2026 As we were doing \u2018Duck Dynasty,\u2019 the upper crowd at A&E decided to drop the ax on me without first looking into what went down.”<\/p>\n

He continued, “They put me on what they called an indefinite hiatus. I said, \u2018I think I may be getting fired, right?\u2019 Hiatus says you\u2019re not part of the program anymore. After nine days, they reinstated me, but we had all kinds of sponsors that just took off. They had made a mockery of what I said. All I did was quote a Bible verse<\/a>. And as a result, they tried to cancel me. But it didn\u2019t cancel me at all. I still love them. I don\u2019t hate anyone.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
