This is clear from the automaker\u2019s recent move to announce Alicia Boler-Davis as its senior vice president for global quality as well as customer experience.\u00a0 Alicia boasts of 17 years of hands-on experience within <b>General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) <\/b>where she overlooked its car factories.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the past, the company had separated its \u201cquality\u201d and \u201ccustomer care\u201d responsibilities among different divisions who were in turn reported to senior executives, however, it soon realized the importance of harmonizing these responsibilities. As a result, Alicia has been given a greater combined responsibility to boost its customer satisfaction as well as quality.In this role, she will directly report to the company\u2019s CEO Daniel F Akerson.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After 2009, the company which has emerged from bankruptcy has lately been under scanner for its below par customer care and vehicle quality. The company has been bailed out for $49.5 billion out of the tax payers funds in 2009 is forced to revamp its business.
