The U.S. Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand and Charles Schumer have sent in a joint e mail to the management of the General Electric Company asking them to \u201cSeriously Review\u201d the proposal made by the union representing the workers of General Electric Company plant in Ford Edward. Moreover, the senators have also asked the company to extend bargaining deadline by 30 days. The new deadline has been extended from November 18<sup>th<\/sup> to December 18<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to a release made available, the staff of the two senators said that the management of the General Electric Company is giving serious considerations to the proposal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On September 18<sup>th<\/sup>, the management of the company announced to its workers that they are considering closing the plant in one year and moving this electrical capacitor operation to Clearwater, Florida.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As per the terms and conditions made by the management of General Electric Company labor contract, the company and the workers must engage in a bargaining of the decision related to the closing of the plant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The union of the company said that they were assigned a representative, Alphonso David. He told the union that he would help them in the governor\u2019s office through the Department of Labor once the closing of the plant has been announced.<b><span style=\"text-decoration:
