Boston, MA 11\/01\/2013 (wallstreetpr) –\u00a0<\/b>General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) ended the long week of economic uncertainty by posting increased earnings in its 6 of 7 industrial businesses. This was a great achievement as the company tries to expand its profit margins for the year. After the results were announced the company stock rose by 4% to a high of $25.68 in the afternoon trading, this marked its highest trading margins after the hard felt economic crisis of 2008. The company\u2019s orders grew by 18% in the United States and by 17% in Europe highly boosted by bookings for products such as Wind turbines and Oil pumps.<\/p>\n
Genetic electrics recorded increased orders of 17% from china with bookings reflecting the growth of the major sectors of its economy such as renewable energy. Genetic electrics is currently benefiting from the high demand of electric generation and the growth of the air transport. The company\u2019s net income dropped from last year same quarter of $3.49 or 33 cents a share to a low of $3.19 billion or 31 cents a share. Its revenues also dropped by 1.5% to clock at $35.7 billion as compared to analysts\u2019 estimates of $36 billion.<\/p>\n
Genetic Electric revenue was greatly impacted by the company\u2019s financial arm which isshrinking and a $132 million worth of negative impact from foreign currency translation. Oil and gas segment posted revenue increase of 18% while the aviation segment posted increase in revenue of 12%. Power and water segments which had been dragging in the third quarter posted improvement of 9% performing better than analyst\u2019s expectation. Genetic Electric backlog of service and equipment orders rose to a high of $229 billion up from $6 billion in the second quarter. Equipment orders in the aviation segment jumped by 65% with the company pointing out an order worth $600million for turbo machinery equipment by Russia’s Yamal Liquefied natural gas project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
