There have been some revelations that Cisco might be planning to end an OEM deal with Polycom, in the deal Cisco was responsible for supplying Polycom with conferencing phones. The revelations have made Polycom stock to tick lower than expected. Cisco and Polycom are currently engaged in a fierce rivalry in an attempt of trying to gain a sizeable market share. It is estimated that Cisco had videoconferencing equipment totaling 41% of the market while Polycom had only 29.2%; as a result Cisco equipment sales suffered a massive blow by declining by 7.5% while Polycom declined by 14.8%.
