FIRST ON FOX:<\/strong> As federal agents flooded Minnesota<\/a> streets this week, Fox News Digital obtained new details about some of the “worst of the worst” criminal illegal immigrants<\/a> arrested within the last 24 hours \u2014 a roster that includes convicted pedophiles, sexual predators and drug traffickers.<\/p>\n

The new information comes after a news conference Friday, where Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino spoke about immigration enforcement<\/a> in Minneapolis, emphasizing the importance of agents’ recent operations.<\/p>\n

In addition to two criminal illegal immigrant arrests highlighted at the news conference in the blue city<\/a>, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials told Fox News Digital others snatched Thursday during Operation Metro Surge were\u00a0convicted of sex crimes<\/a> against children, domestic abuse and drug trafficking.<\/p>\n

“DHS\u00a0law enforcement\u00a0continues to remove violent criminal illegal<\/a> aliens from the streets of\u00a0Minnesota. Just yesterday, they\u00a0arrested\u00a0pedophiles,\u00a0sexual predators, and drug traffickers\u00a0in Minnesota,”\u00a0DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin wrote in a statement.\u00a0“Many of these public safety threats were released from Minnesota jails.”<\/p>\n

McLaughlin added DHS is calling on Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz<\/a> and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey to honor Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainers on the more than 1,360 illegal immigrants in Minnesota jails.<\/p>\n

“Despite horrific smears and violent assaults against them, our officers continue to put their lives<\/a> on the line to arrest the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens,” she said.<\/p>\n

Jose Eliborio Ocampo-Leon, a\u00a0criminal illegal immigrant from\u00a0Mexico,\u00a0was previously convicted\u00a0of\u00a0criminal sexual conduct with a victim under the age of 16.<\/p>\n

Rudy Alexander Pineda-Aguilar, a\u00a0criminal illegal immigrant from\u00a0Guatemala, was previously convicted\u00a0of\u00a0criminal sexual conduct.<\/p>\n

Gerardo Sanchez-Acuna, a criminal illegal immigrant from Mexico, was previously convicted of\u00a0drug trafficking.\u202f<\/p>\n

Jeffrey Alexander Roman-Rabanales, a\u00a0criminal illegal immigrant from\u00a0Guatemala,\u00a0was previously convicted of assault,\u00a0domestic\u00a0assault\u00a0and\u00a0damage to property.<\/p>\n

Salvador Salazar-Rivera, a\u00a0criminal illegal immigrant from\u00a0Mexico,\u00a0was previously convicted\u00a0of\u00a0domestic assault and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse.<\/p>\n

Ayro\u00a0Ariel\u00a0Mimbrera-Fernandez, a\u00a0criminal illegal immigrant from\u00a0Mexico,\u00a0had an\u00a0outstanding federal arrest warrant for amphetamine sale.<\/p>\n

Mimbrera-Fernandez was also previously convicted of theft and\u00a0driving while intoxicated.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
