“Saturday Night Live” cut a politically charged skit at the last minute from its latest episode featuring new cast member Tommy Brennan, who defended his home state and mocked ICE.<\/p>\n

“New cast member Tommy Brennan, who grew up in St. Paul, had prepared a personal monologue for the Jan. 17 episode, which marked the show\u2019s return from the holiday break,” the Minnesota Star Tribune reported<\/a>. “But the nearly four-minute piece was cut between dress rehearsal and the live broadcast. That\u2019s not unusual; producer and show creator Lorne Michaels often eliminates sketches at the last minute because of time.”<\/p>\n

The speech was later posted<\/a> on “Saturday Night Live\u2019s” official YouTube channel. The show frequently shares sketches that didn\u2019t make it to air but were still performed before a live audience.<\/p>\n

Brennan, who joined the show this past season, expressed frustration over ICE raids in his home state but played a clip showing an ICE agent slipping on ice \u2014 a moment that drew loud laughter from the audience. Brennan said the incident gave him a “glimmer of hope.”<\/p>\n

“Did you hear the absolutely ecstatic reaction from the people around him? Minnesotans are famously nice \u2014 do you know how hard it is to get us to bully you?” he asked. “Here they are, squealing with joy. They sound like when kids meet Mickey Mouse. It\u2019s just, \u2018Oh my God! Yeah!\u2019”<\/p>\n

After replaying the clip several times as the audience laughed, Brennan added sarcastically, “Just to be clear, I\u2019m not reveling in another person\u2019s pain. If I wanted to do that, I would join ICE.”<\/p>\n

He then shifted to a more serious tone, saying, “Minneapolis is a city of immigrants<\/a>, and that\u2019s what makes it great. I grew up playing on all-immigrant soccer teams, and let me tell you, it is not easy to catch those guys.”<\/p>\n

After mocking the ICE agent for slipping and running back to his car, Brennan quipped, “We\u2019re not like them. We won\u2019t jog back to the car, and we won\u2019t slip up, because in Minnesota we\u2019ve been dealing with ice our whole lives, bitch!”\u00a0<\/p>\n

ICE did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.\u00a0<\/p>\n
