Christie Brinkley<\/a> is tapping into her creative side.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Thursday, the former Sports Illustrated cover model took to social media<\/a> to share some photos of herself, beach ready.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a series of snapshots, the 71-year-old \u2014 who is sporting a black bikini top and black shorts \u2014 \u00a0showed off a special mirror that took over 20 years to make.<\/p>\n

“I shell attempt to distract you from the important news you sea on Insta then I\u2019ll clam up and you can scallop back to the more pressing issues of the day,” she wrote in the caption. “PS I made this over the 20 + years we\u2019ve been here in Turks&Caicos from things I find on the beach.”<\/p>\n

“But the MOST beautiful thing of all in these photos is the GODDESS that walks among them!,” one follower commented.<\/p>\n

“You still look so amazing my Sister,” another added. “I don’t mind the distraction because you inspire me. I mean look at you. A beautiful Mom to a talented Songbird<\/a>, Alexa; her Sister Sailor, a fellow thespian and your handsome son. You have been a most powerful creator of beauty and talent. Of course I don’t mind the distraction.”<\/p>\n

During her “FOX & Friends” appearance last year, Brinkley opened up about how she has maintained her camera-ready shape over the years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“First of all, my number one beauty secret is that I have been a vegetarian since I was a little kid,” said Brinkley. “And I really, truly believe that if everybody would at least try and be a vegetarian or a vegan\u2026 I\u2019m currently a vegan. I have been for the past, maybe a year now.”<\/p>\n

“So try it,” she encouraged viewers. “You\u2019ll love it. And you\u2019ll never feel better. And you\u2019ll be helping our planet, which is vitally important right now.”<\/p>\n

The model previously told Fox News Digital she\u2019s a big fan of the “rainbow diet,” or “brightly colored foods” rich in vitamins and minerals.<\/p>\n

“It fortifies my body \u2014 and you really, truly are what you eat,” she shared. “I treat myself to good nutrition, and I never feel like I\u2019m denying myself.”<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s no longer called a diet<\/u><\/a>,” Brinkley stressed. “There\u2019s no denying myself anything\u2026 I\u2019ve always said, the more you learn about food, vitamins, minerals and exercise and what it does to your body chemistry, the more you will reach for the good stuff because you\u2019ll want to fuel your body. And that\u2019s what I do.”<\/p>\n

“If I happen to be on some trip, or it\u2019s somebody\u2019s birthday, you have to have a piece of cake because it\u2019s not good luck to not take a bite of the birthday cake,” she chuckled. “I do that, and then I say, \u2018That\u2019s fine.\u2019 I\u2019m not going to beat myself up over it. I\u2019ll just watch the sugar intake the rest of the day, but I just want to treat my body right.”<\/p>\n

Brinkley said that while she was a lifelong vegetarian, she switched gears a year prior.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“About a year ago, I became a vegan, and I am really, really thrilled that I did, because I have never felt better. I eat lots of grains and beans and all kinds of colorful foods.”<\/p>\n

Back in 2021, Brinkley told Fox News Digital she won\u2019t step on a scale to manage her weight. Instead, she lets her clothes do the talking.<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t step on a scale,” she said at the time. “I have my \u2018Honest Jeans\u2019 tell me the truth. I\u2019ll try those on to see where I\u2019m at. If I fit into those, I feel good. And when they\u2019re too tight, it\u2019s OK, too.”<\/p>\n
