This is the latest cost cutting announcement made by the company which also announced recently that the CFO of the company will be leaving soon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This medical device manufacturing company had announced earlier in January this year about around a 1000 job cuts. The company attributed the cuts to limited growth prospects in certain markets and taxation related to the overhaul of healthcare. The company has been cutting down costs since 2011 when it eliminated around 1400 jobs; the company has a total of around 24000 employees worldwide.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The latest plans from the company say that they will cut down on around 1500 jobs over the coming two years through layoffs and attrition. By doing this Boston Scientific also hopes that they will save up on operating expenses by $200 million annually which will in turn help increase savings and bolster growth. The stock which is being traded on a 5 year high fell slightly in the most recent morning trading by 38 cents to $11.91. The company has not been able to post an annual profit since it acquired Guidant which makes implantable defibrillator for 27 billion USD in 2005. The demand for heart zapping implants has since come down and the purchase is still weighing the company down in some ways.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company reported a loss of around $5 million in the third quarter at break-even per share which is still an improvement over last year\u2019s figures of $664 million loss at 48 cents a share in the same quarter. The revenue was unchanged for the company remained constant at $1.74 billion and it also said that onetime items excluded, it earned around 17 cents for every
