Philadelphia Eagles<\/u><\/a> offensive tackle Jordan Mailata interrupted a locker room interview Thursday to remind one reporter about his “ladies first” policy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The veteran Super Bowl champion was fielding questions from reporters ahead of Sunday\u2019s game against the\u00a0Detroit Lions<\/u><\/a> when he stopped NBC Sports\u2019 John Clark mid-question to give the floor to the female journalist in the locker room.<\/p>\n

“Did you just come in? Sorry, we\u2019re gonna go ladies first,” Mailata politely said in a video<\/a> shared on X by WIP-FM Radio reporter Devan Kaney. “Sorry, John. We\u2019re gonna go ladies first, but then we\u2019ll go back to you, John. I\u2019m sorry, I was just sticking with it. I was just sticking with the theme, I\u2019m sorry.”<\/p>\n

The genuine interruption prompted laughs from around the room. Mailata joked that the female journalist gave him a look when Clark began speaking.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“The girls looked at me as soon as you talked, and I thought, \u2018Oh, s—. They\u2019re all looking.\u2019 I\u2019m gonna stand my ground.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kaney was able to ask the next question, which focused on\u00a0A.J. Brown\u2019s<\/u><\/a> most recent comments about his production in the Eagles offense.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m just going to stay in my lane. [The offensive line] is going to stay in our lane and just block and pick up the protection,” Mailata said when asked if he\u2019s spoken with Brown about his recent remarks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t think A.J.\u2019s wrong. I don\u2019t think he\u2019s wrong, and if that\u2019s the way he feels, that\u2019s the way he feels,” he added, noting that the team has “moved on from that.”\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Brown has made it clear through cryptic posts on social media and public comments that he\u2019s not happy with his role. But the Eagles are 7-2 and in position to become the first\u00a0NFC East<\/u><\/a> team to win consecutive division titles in two decades.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s not that I don\u2019t care about winning, all I care about is stats, no,” Brown told reporters Wednesday. “It\u2019s been week after week sometimes we\u2019re not contributing, we\u2019re not doing our job on offense. You can\u2019t just keep slapping a Band-Aid over that if you expect to win later in the year. You think you\u2019re just going to go to it at the end of the year? It\u2019s not going to … happen. It\u2019s not going to happen. It\u2019s not going to happen.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
