Earlier Facebook allowed only friends and friends of friends to see postings and other updates of teen agers whereas now the youngsters can choose their profile settings manually and make their updates visible to public too.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Facebook revealed on Wednesday that the default setting will remain limited to a narrower group of people for teen agers. Reasoning its stress on privacy, the company called Teens as among the savviest group of people who use social media platforms and they desire to be heard in every matter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The firm added that only a small fraction of teen agers who use Facebook would like to post their updates publicly, however the new change will give them a freedom to express and get heard to a wider platform.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Facebook is continuously innovating ways to stay in competition racing with the new mobile services and social networks giving tough fight like SnapChat and WhatsApp. These two are being very popular among youngsters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, a non-profit organization Center for Digital Democracy\u2019s Chief Jeffrey Chester called Facebook\u2019s new move as detrimental and sacrifice of privacy of teen agers in greed of expanding business. All teens do not necessarily have good judgmental power, he added. They can be more vulnerable by updating their status publicly and may fall prey to wrong people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chester also said that junk food companies and others target teen agers and sharing their information publicly, teenagers can be more vulnerable to their tricks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However there are several other social media websites and networks which allow teenagers share their information publicly.
